December 31, *2011*

It is finally here, the {last} day of the year 2011. This year has been such a fulfilling one, I am also sad to see it end. I started the year out with my family and husband in North Carolina-- pregnant and with some kind of horrible virus. I didn't let that get me down, I knew what this year would bring!

We moved from North Carolina to Biloxi, Mississippi in January for a short little training for Daniel's job. While we were there I turned 21 {yay!}we enjoyed life on the coast (living only a block from the beach!) and found out that the smells of New Orleans during Mardi Gras "season" are not exactly pleasing to a pregnant lady's nose (or anyone's for that matter!) and we found out we would be welcoming a baby boy into our lives come July. From there it was onto Wichita Falls, Texas. We made that move in March and would stay there until the end of July! We made some incredible friends in Texas, found one of the most amazing churches, learned to live all on our own like a grown up married couple (we had only been about an hour and a half from my parents our whole marriage so far!) and *best of all* welcomed our sweet Landin Gregory into our lives. I also got to see my family for the first time in SIX months!

It was now August! Holy smokes, this year flew by! We loaded up the cars with all of the new baby stuff, a 3 week old baby and our whiny cat, Pookie and made a longggg road trip from Wichita Falls to McGuire AFB...that's right, all the way to the good ol' garden state -- New Jersey!! Thankfully, we got to stop midway to see Daniel's family in Ohio...it was so wonderful seeing everyone meet Landin :) We are all settled in now but in the last 5 months of this year we found our way around, made a trip to NC to have Landin dedicated as well as both Ohio and North Carolina to partake in family Christmas! We celebrated Landin's first halloween (which brought snow? so strange) with the Marlton Halloween Parade where Landin was dressed up as a little monkey, enjoyed a nice Thanksgiving with my in-laws and explored Philadelphia, PA for the first time, and celebrated Landin's first official Christmas as a family of three starting our own little family traditions including: making Jesus a birthday cake, driving around to look at lights, and eating breakfast for dinner at a restaurant on Christmas Eve...just to name a few!

The house is now back to "normal" with a ton more toys laying around than we had just a week ago. We are looking forward to bringing in the new year with our little munchkin (if he decides to wake up around midnight, he turns into a grumpy pooter pants if he isn't in bed by 8pm!) because although 2011 was amazing, there is SO much to look forward to in 2012. We will have been married for three years and our sweet boy will turn one. I am sure there are so many other things but we will just have to wait and find out when the time comes. So here is to 2011, and for all that is to come in 2012. I am so excited to document Landin's life throughout this year, and I hope you enjoy it as well!

Happy New Years!
