Photo Explosion...

**Incomplete post. I wanted to get the pictures up but I will fill in captions later!**

I have been a terrible blogger.
Excuses...
1.Teething baby.
2. Movers come in three days.
That is all. However, I think those two pretty much make up for about 100 other reasons. :)

So here it goes...your Landin picture explosion.

a crazy week and a new friend.

This week was hectic beyond words.
But the end result is all that matters, and when looking back on what this week had in store for us...
this week was wonderful.

080/366
The week started our rough. Transitioning back to being in his crib
was a struggle, to say the least.

081/366
Landin loves his carrots! Night times are back
to normal and all is well in the Swinehart household.

082/366
On this morning, Landin and mom enjoyed Blueberry Vanilla Smoothies.
The perfect way to start a morning. I tell ya, Landin has some serious wheels turning
in the ol' noggin' :) He has gotten ridiculously interactive...he can even walk
holding just one hand! Slowwww downnnn!

083/366
How much wood, would a woodchuck chuck, if a woodchuck could chuck wood?
Seriously, this child will walk his way around the crib until his hands
touch the actual rail {not the cover} and his teeth instantly start goin' to town!

Landin Gregory,
This was your first "friend." I know you won't ever get to know him considering we are
moving out of state before you even turn one...but you two have quite the fascination with one another!
His name is Aiden and in this picture you are 8.5 months old and he is 7 months.
As your mom, I love seeing you interact with him. It makes my heart so happy :)
I can't wait until you have a best friend that you play in mud and sword fight with. A cliche' I know, but I am so excited!

**
The week ended with official orders for our move to San Antonio, great news that they would ship one of our cars so we wouldn't have to make an 1800 mile drive separately, my parents and younger sister visiting and the birth of one of my good friends sweet baby girl.
{Welcome to the world, Audree Lorayne!}
Pictures from today (Friday) to follow in the post for the weekend.

This past week we went to Ohio to surprise Landin's grandma for her birthday! It was such a fun week...Landin loved seeing family as well as the geese we went to feed! The weather was absolutely perfect and we enjoyed nice walks and meals outside!

Landin is getting so strong...just last night, he walked holding only ONE of my hands. How amazing is that? He is only 8.5 months. GO LANDIN! :)

We are now adjusting to being back home as well as trying to get ready for our big move! More pictures to come, as always!

eight month-er.

068/366

069/366

070/366

In the past three nights, a lot has happened. Landin is now officially eight months old! {wow!} He now tries to stand up by leaning on his toys that are on the floor vs. just pulling up on tables and mom and dad! He has spent a full night in his crib {the hardest, by far!} Landin is definitely excited--or I am excited for us-- that we have booked our plane ticket from San Antonio to Raleigh, NC for Landin's Auntie Kellynne's graduation AND we booked our hotel for a fabulous getaway to NYC in April! WOW!! busy busy busy.

The days are getting shorter and shorter in NJ {not that we are complaining} and we still
have SO much to do. So, the posts will probably be very inconsistant...I felt I had to add that disclaimer since my husband lovingly, sarcastically pointed out that I was a "bad blogger" when I
mentioned it had been 3 days since my last post! :)

kneel-er, stand-er, tumble-er.

066/366

067/366

You are changing so rapidly, our sweet boy. Two days ago, you conquered pulling up on your own changing table. Holy Moly! How is it even possible?

Landin loves being on his knees and feet but not hands. So, crawling is officially off the table for Landin (or so it seems) He has no interest in it what so ever. But we are completely okay with that! He is pulling up on whatever he can get his hands on and it is so neat to watch. He kneels frequently, stands occasionally and tumbles even more these days. It is all a part of him becoming confident in balance {even though my mom instinct wants to console him every time he falls}

He loves all things meat. He is definitely following in the footsteps of his father, a meat and potatoes kind of guy {sweet potatoes, that is!} but he also loves his carrots...a healthy boy he will be :)

Until tomorrow,

063/366 - 064/366 - 065/366

063/366

064/366

065/366

Using the words "crazy" and "stressful" to describe this past week would be a colossal understatement. So, I apologize for the lack of posting...but when Landin reads this years from now he will be able to ask us why the posts were so short for the next couple of months and we will get to fill him {you} in on the whirlwind of a life this family had. Within a year, we have made the long trip from Wichita Falls, TX to New Jersey and will be going all the way back to Texas {only San Antonio this time}

Landin:
We are so excited to be moving back to your state of birth! There are a couple things that have been requested of us as your parents.
One: you are not allowed to be a Dallas Cowboys fan. You come from a family of Cleveland Browns fans and Washington Redskins fans. Hopefully times have changed by the time you start watching football and these teams actually have a winning season or two. But if not and you decide to pick your own team to choose from, we have to tell you that it should not be the Cowboys {who you actually decide to cheer for is completely your own choice, just know that you will have a huge football rival in your grandpa}
Two: we have to do everything in our power to get you to remain accentless! This one sounds funny {and probably completely unrealistic}but we will try to keep you sounding completely sophisticated. We like to think that neither your dad nor I have a very strong accent and we kind of like it. We feel the more accentless you are, the more cultured you will be. But, if you do end up with a Texas twang just know that you are one of the lucky ones that all of those country singers talk about in their songs
Or as Trace Adkins sings:
"...you know mama's and daddy's want better for their daughters
Hope they'll settle down with a doctor or a lawyer
and their uptown, ball gown, hand me down royalty
They never understand why their princess falls
For some camouflage britches and a southern boy drawl"

However, just because you have a Texas twang, it doesn't mean you wont be a doctor or a lawyer. You can be anything you dream of being!
We love you! :)

Anyway..I hope you enjoyed the pictures. Landin has so much character and like I have said many times before, he is changing daily. He is also trying so hard to stand and walk and is doing a wonderful job {as both sets of grandparents got to see on skype yesterday!}

So until tomorrow,

pictures and some big news.

060/366
A day at the park! So much fun, and Landin has fun watching the geese!

061/366
Landin went to work with his dad on Wednesday! He loves being with his dad and I love taking pictures of them together!

062/366
We have a semi-walker! Landin is so strong and we are really in for it if he skips crawling {which it's looking like he will do} So Landin is now pulling himself up on Daniel and I along with his changing table every now and then. He is also walking like a champ while holding on to fingers! He is using his dino walker to practice being on his own and he is doing pretty great! we are so proud :)

on to the big news:
We will be leaving the "garden state" and heading back to Texas in April. That's right, this family will be moving to San Antonio and we are SO excited!!

Until tomorrow,
Landin's mom
